Online Proces Data Registratie Systeem

EverZinc Nederland B.V. (voorheen onderdeel van Umicore) is een producent van zinkmaterialen, o.a. zink poeders en zinkoxide. Ondanks hun verregaande automatisering was het niet mogelijk om achteraf een link te leggen tussen instellingen en proceswaarden enerzijds en productkwaliteit of storingen in de productie anderzijds.

De relevante gegevens zijn weliswaar tijdens de productie beschikbaar op het centrale visualisatie systeem maar het was niet mogelijk om al die gegevens als historische data op te slaan. Bovendien was het bekijken en analyseren van data die wel beschikbaar is beperkt tot het systeem op de productievloer.

Van Daal engineering heeft hiervoor een Dot-NET applicatie met individuele functionele modules ontwikkeld. Alsmede de bestaande WinCC applicatie voor afhandeling van de communicatie tussen het productieproces en de relationele database uitgebreid.

De ontwikkelde applicatie slaat automatisch alle op het centrale visualisatie systeem beschikbare instellingen en proceswaarden op (totaal 450 stuks). Tevens worden specifieke gebeurtenissen (Log on/off, wijziging van instellingen) op het WinCC systeem geregistreerd.

Vervolgens worden de gegevens beschikbaar gesteld aan een geselecteerde groep medewerkers. Dit is mogelijk gemaakt door een koppeling tussen de relationele database server en zowel het industriële als het office Ethernet.

De volgende functionaliteit is ter beschikking:

Configureerbare indeling van de beschikbare gegevens (zelf groepen samenstellen).
Weergave van (live) procesgegevens in een grafiek.
Export van de procesgegevens naar Microsoft Excel voor een verdere analyse (per groep over specifieke periode).
Weergave van specifieke gebeurtenissen.
Configureerbare rapporten waarbij de geregistreerde procesgegevens (gemiddelde/maximum/minimum) worden weergegeven.
Eenvoudige online uitbreiding/aanpassing van de te registreren proceswaarden/instellingen.

Despite their far-reaching automation, it was not possible to establish a link between setpoints and process values on the one hand and product quality or production failures on the other hand.

Although the relevant data is available on the central visualization system during production, it was not possible to store all such data as historical data. Moreover, viewing and analyzing the available data was limited to the system on the production floor.

Online Process Data Registration System

For this purpose, van Daal engineering has developed a Dot-NET application with individual functional modules. Additionally, the existing WinCC application solving the communication between the production process and the relational database has been extended.

The developed application automatically saves all settings and process values available on the central visualization system (total of 450 units). Specific events (Log on/off, settings change) are also registered by the WinCC system.

The data is made available to a preselected group of employees. This is made possible by a link between the relational database server and both the industrial and the office Ethernet.

They now have access to the following functions:

Configurable formatting of the available data (composure of own groups)
Display of process data in a (live) graph.
Exportation of the process data to Microsoft Excel for further analysis (per group over specific period of time).
Display of specific events.
Configurable reports showing the registered process data (average/maximum/minimum).
Straightforward online expansions/modifications of the process values/settings one wants to register.
